SPAIN: “Yet another Euroleague Basketball team, Laboral Kutxa, has marked the start of 2014 by launching a new One Team programme to help integrate marginalized groups into its local community in Vitoria, Spain. Laboral Kutxa not only presented its new programme, which seeks to help young children from disadvantaged families, but also started raising funds for the project in a unique way, by auctioning the same One Team uniforms that its players wore on court during the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Regular Season. The full uniforms of all 13 players who wore them in Euroleague games last November will be placed for auction over the next seven weeks to raise money for the One Team project in Vitoria. The first of the uniforms to be auctioned is that of Lamont Hamilton, the new One Team Ambassador for Laboral Kutxa. Hamilton recently visited with the children who will benefit from the club’s One Team project at the Centro Civico Albade in Vitoria.”
