He is a dual citizen owning also Bosnia and Herzegovina passport. Begic already started the season at New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA. The last season he played at Laboral Kutxa. In 29 Liga Endesa games he had 6.2ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.1bpg. Begic also played 18 games in Euroleague where he recorded 6.8ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.7bpg. He also played at Union Olimpija Ljubljana in Slovenian league earlier that season. In three Eurocup games he recorded 14.0ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.0apg and 3.7bpg.
