Stelmet Enea BC Zielona Gora (EBL) re-signed 22-year old guard Marcel Ponitka (194-97). He played there last season. In 21 EBL games he recorded 7.9ppg, 2.7rpg, 3.7apg and 1.3spg. Ponitka helped them to win the league title. A very good season in his career as he was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Polish League Defensive Player of the Year. Ponitka also played 19 games in VTB United League where he averaged 7.1ppg, 2.6rpg and 2.5apg.
The previous (18-19) season Ponitka played at Asseco Arka. In 37 EBL games he had 6.4ppg, 2.5rpg and 2.3apg. He contributed to his team winning the regular season and make it to the final.
