Bio:

Rasho Nesterovic was born May 30, 1976 to Serbian parents in Ljubljana, Yugoslavia (now Slovenia) where he started playing basketball at age ten, and was voted the MVP of the European Under-22 Championship in 1996. He started his professional career with KK Union Olimpija in the 1995-96 season, where he played in the Domestic Cup averaging 20 minutes, 7 points and grabbing 4 rebounds per game. In the 1996-97 season he was a part of the legendary Olimpija team, where he helped his team reach the Euro league final four in Rome.

Nesterovic was a first-round pick, 17th overall, of the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 1998 NBA Draft. He joined the Timberwolves just before the end of the 1998-99 season and played there through the 2002-03 season. In 2004, Rasho signed with the San Antonio Spurs, where in his second season, he helped them win the NBA Championship. On June 21, 2006, Nesterovic was traded to the Toronto Raptors where he averaged 6.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1 block per game. Throughout his successful NBA career he has averaged 7.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
