Tyrone Ellis (born October 5, 1977) is a retired Georgian-American professional basketball player and current head coach for the Northern Arizona Suns (Phoenix Suns affiliate) of the NBA G League. Prior to be named the first head coach in Northern Arizona Suns history in August 2016, he had been an Assistant Coach for the Tulsa 66ers, Reno Bighorns, Grand Rapids Drive and Bakersfield Jam. A 6’4″ (1.93m) guard, he played college basketball at Southern Nazarene University and professionally in the then NBDL and internationally in Spain, Germany, Turkey & Italy, as well as representing Georgia as a member of the Georgian National Team.
