Union Olimpija has added a valuable piece to its frontcourt by inking center Christian Maraker to a one-year deal, with an option to extend the contract for an extra season. Maraker (205, 23) just finished his four-year college career at the University of Pacific, where he averaged 17.6 points and 8.9 rebounds in 33 NCAA games last season. Maraker helped Pacific to win the Big West Tournament this season and was also considered the BWC player of the year. He has also played for Sodertalje and Sanda BG in his native Sweden, as well as being a member of the Swedish national team.
