RUSSIA: Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar kept getting ready for its Turkish Airlines Euroleague return next season by inking point guard Dontaye Draper to a one-year deal on Monday. Draper (1.81 meters, 30 years old) arrives from Anadolu Efes Istanbul, where he averaged 7 points, 3 rebounds and a steal in 28 Euroleague games last season. He helped Efes win the Turkish Cup title and reach the Euroleague playoffs. Before joining Efes, Draper spent a total of two seasons with Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid and helped the team to a pair of Euroleague Championship Game appearances as well as the 2013 Spanish League Crown and the 2014 Copa del Rey. Draper rose to European prominence as the 2010-11 Eurocup MVP with Cedevita Zagreb. He led Cedevita from the Eurocup Qualifying Round to the Finals with 15.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 2.2 steals in 14 Eurocup games.
