Bio:

Jeffrey Fosterwas born January 16, 1977 in San Antonio, Texas. His hobbies include watching movies and playing video games. As a senior at Texas State University, Jeff ranked third in the nation in rebounding, led his team in rebounding 25 times and grabbed double-figures in rebounds 18 times. He was second on the team in scoring, first in rebounding, second in blocked shots, second in steals and third in assists. As a junior, he was selected to the All-Southland Conference (SLC) Second Team. The same year, he led the team and the conference in rebounding and was 16th in the nation with 10.2 rebounds per game.

Foster was selected 21st overall by the Golden State Warriors in the 1999 NBA Draft. The Warriors later traded his draft rights to the Indiana Pacers. Foster was part of the Pacers’ 1999-2000 Eastern Conference championship team, though he played only 19 games that year. In his second season, Foster played in 71 games, gaining a spot in the rotation where he was a constant contributor. The energetic, hard-working center became an important rebounding presence for the Pacers, and his offensive rebounds in particular, combined with well-timed tip-ins, finally endeared himself to Indiana fans. In 2004, Foster became the “go to” man during the Pacers’ post-season run and has remained a key part of the Pacers team.
