Umana Reyer Venezia (Serie A) strengthened their roster with addition of 26-year old New Zealander international forward Isaac Fotu (203-104kg-93, college: Hawaii). Fotu played most recently at De Longhi Treviso Basket 2012. In 20 Italian Serie A games in Italy he recorded 14.1ppg and 5.3rpg last season.
The previous (18-19) season Fotu played at ratiopharm Ulm (German BBL) in German league where in 28 games he averaged 7.1ppg and 4.1rpg. He also played 11 games in Eurocup where he had 9.2ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.3apg.
He is a dual citizen owning also Tongan passport.
He represented New Zealand at the FIBA Oceania Championships five years ago. Fotu has played previously professionally in Australia and Spain (Zaragoza).
