Efes Pilsen is going for top scorers this summer as after the addition of the winner of the Alphonso Ford Trophy last season for being the best Euroleague scorer Dew Nicholas, the Turkish team announced on Monday morning the addition of American guard Horace Jenkins (186, 32), the best scorer of the last edition of the ULEB Cup, for one season and an option for another. Last year, Jenkins played with Hapoel Jerusalem and he averaged 20.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists in the ULEB Cup. Jenkins played college ball in William Patterson and arrived in Europe for the 2001-02 season to play with Borgomanero of the Italian second division, where he averaged almost 31 points per game. He then signed for Virtus Roma and in 2003 landed in Greece to play with AEK Athens. In 12 Euroleague games that year, he averaged 20 points and 3.3 assists per night. He then went on to play with the Detroit Pistons of the NBA but last year returned to Europe to play with Hapoel.
