EUROLEAGUE: “24-year old swingman Zoran Dragic (196-F/G-89) had a great game in the last round for Unicaja and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9 (Top 16). He had the game-high 24 points adding three rebounds and three assists for Unicaja in his team’s victory, helping them to beat Anadolu Efes (#7, 2-7) 83-75. Unicaja maintains the 3rd position in Euroleague group E. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier in Top 16. Unicaja will need more victories to improve their 5-4 record. In the team’s last game Dragic had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. It’s his second year at Unicaja and it’s hard to imagine this team without him. Dragic has impressive league stats. He is in league’s top in points (8th best: 12.0ppg), rebounds (8th best: 2.8rpg) and averages solid 41.7% from behind 3-point line.”
